Following a collaboration with Alexandria Community Rowing and The Potomac Riverkeeper Network (mentioned in a separate entry), Gryffin Conservatory & Conservancy drove efforts to clean up the marshes at Jones Point Park, managed by the National Park Service. The NPS was supportive and worked closely with us on the project. Through Eventbrite, press outreach, and networking, Smith coordinated seventy-five community volunteers (the NPS-mandated capacity) for the cleanup. Additionally, she designed promotional graphics for media, social platforms, and press materials.
